Softing LanMaster 26 verkkokaapelitestauslaite 226001

Network installers and maintenance technicians often face the challenge of quickly verifying cable integrity, identifying wiring faults, and measuring cable length without hauling multiple bulky tools. The Softing LanMaster 26 solves this by combining essential cable testing functions into one handheld device. It tests UTP, STP, and coaxial cables with RJ45 and BNC connectors, providing clear wiremap results, length measurement up to 450 meters, and distance-to-fault detection using TDR. PoE detection identifies voltage and pair assignment for IEEE 802.3af/at, while the tone generator and port blink function simplify tracing and identification. The backlit LCD shows results in meters or feet, and the unit supports up to 8 remote ID units for efficient multi-drop testing. Powered by 4 AA batteries, it operates from 0°C to 50°C and stores from -10°C to 60°C.

Who is it for

This tester is ideal for network technicians, electricians, and IT professionals who install, troubleshoot, or maintain structured cabling systems in commercial or residential environments. It is equally useful for field service teams needing a reliable, portable tool for on-site certification and fault location.

Tips

For best accuracy, calibrate the tester to the cable's velocity of propagation if known. When testing PoE, ensure the remote unit is disconnected to avoid interference. Use the tone generator with a standard inductive probe for tracing cables through walls or bundles.
