Sokeaniitti GESIPA PolyGrip® 4,8×10,0 mm alumiini/ruostumaton teräs, 500 kpl

Blind rivet GESIPA PolyGrip® 4.8×10.0 mm Aluminum/Stainless Steel, pack of 500, is a blind fastener designed for permanent joining where access is available from one side only. The rivet features an aluminum body combined with a stainless-steel mandrel to provide a balance between lightweight corrosion resistance and high mandrel strength. Supplied in bulk packaging, this type is intended for professional trades and DIY applications in metalworking, construction, automotive repair and general assembly tasks.

Advantages

The aluminum body ensures low weight and good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, while the stainless-steel mandrel increases tensile strength and pull-out resistance. The PolyGrip® design helps achieve consistent setting and secure joint integrity across thin sheet materials. Bulk packaging of 500 pieces streamlines large projects and reduces the need for frequent replenishment.

Suitable for

• Joining thin metal sheets and panels
• Assembly and repairs in automotive and vehicle bodywork
• Construction and HVAC installations where one-sided access is required
• Fabrication of lightweight structures and enclosures
• General industrial and DIY fastening tasks

Key specifications

• Rivet type: blind rivet with break-mandrel setting
• Material combination: aluminum body with stainless-steel mandrel
• Nominal diameter: 4.8 mm
• Grip/length: 10.0 mm
• Quantity per pack: 500 pieces
• Suitable for thin sheet materials and light structural joints

How to use

Select a rivet size that matches the combined thickness of the materials to be joined. Drill or prepare a hole of the correct diameter, insert the blind rivet into the workpieces, and position the mandrel into a compatible blind-riveting tool. Operate the rivet gun according to the tool manufacturer’s instructions until the mandrel breaks and the rivet deforms to form a secure blind head. After setting, remove any mandrel remnants and inspect the joint for correct formation and tightness.

Recommendations

For best results, use a rivet gun rated for the specified rivet diameter and material combination. Pre-drill accurate hole sizes and ensure material edges are clean and free of paint or debris. When joining dissimilar metals or where increased corrosion resistance is required, verify compatibility and consider additional sealing or protective coatings if exposed to aggressive environments.
