Stanley FATMAX L Trigger Clamp tankopuristin

The Stanley FATMAX L Trigger Clamp is a robust bar clamp designed for reliable holding and quick one-handed operation. With a 60 cm opening and construction combining fiberglass, nylon and steel, this clamp provides a balance of strength and reduced weight for common workshop, carpentry and DIY tasks. Its 645 mm overall width and 78 mm depth make it suitable for a wide range of materials and assemblies where stable pressure and accurate alignment are required.

Advantages

The fiberglass-reinforced bar coupled with steel components ensures a long service life while keeping the clamp manageable during extended use. The trigger mechanism allows for rapid clamping and incremental adjustment without changing grip, and the ergonomic handle is shaped to reduce hand fatigue. Nylon pads protect workpiece surfaces from marring and distribute clamping force evenly for improved results.

Suitable for

• Woodworking and cabinet assembly
• Gluing panels and laminates
• Holding frames and door assemblies during fitting
• General-purpose workshop clamping and repairs

Key specifications

• Maximum opening: 60 cm
• Overall width: 645 mm
• Depth: 78 mm
• Materials: fiberglass, nylon, steel
• Operation: single-hand trigger mechanism
• Protective jaw pads: nylon, non-marring

How to use

Position the clamp so the jaws sit flush against the workpiece faces, then squeeze the trigger to advance the movable jaw until the required clamping pressure is reached. Use the release lever or quick-release mechanism to reduce pressure or reposition the clamp. For larger assemblies, apply the clamp gradually and check alignment as pressure increases. The non-marring pads should be placed between the metal jaw and the workpiece to prevent surface damage.

Recommendations

Inspect the clamp before each use for wear or damage to the bar, pads and trigger. Avoid exposing the clamp to prolonged moisture to reduce corrosion risk on steel parts. For consistent results when gluing, apply even pressure and allow recommended curing time before removing the clamp.
