Steinel 010317 kaavin — ergonominen muotoilu, kestävä materiaali

Steinel Scraper Set 010317 — ergonomic design, durable material is a compact set of hand scrapers intended for removal of paint, adhesive residues and other surface coatings. The set focuses on comfortable handling through ergonomically shaped handles and long-lasting blades made from wear-resistant materials. It is designed for manual scraping during renovation, surface preparation and maintenance tasks where controlled pressure and reliability are required.

Advantages

The ergonomic handles reduce hand fatigue and improve grip control for precise scraping; blades are manufactured from hard-wearing metal for sustained edge retention and easy blade replacement; the set includes multiple scraper sizes to address different surface areas and detail work; the construction provides corrosion resistance and overall dimensional stability for frequent use. The design supports safe scraping with predictable blade seating and a stable shaft-to-handle connection.

Suitable for

• Removing paint and varnish from wood, metal and masonry
• Cleaning adhesive and sealant residues from flat surfaces
• Preparing substrates prior to painting or coating
• General renovation and maintenance work in workshops and on-site
• Detail scraping in tight areas and around fittings

Key specifications

• Set composition: multiple manual scrapers with varying blade widths for coarse and fine work
• Handle: ergonomic shape for improved grip and reduced fatigue
• Blade material: hardened metal offering wear resistance and ease of sharpening or replacement
• Finish: corrosion-resistant surfaces for extended service life
• Weight and balance: optimized for hand-operated control and precise pressure application

How to use

Select the scraper blade width appropriate for the task and secure it according to the set's blade mounting method. Hold the ergonomic handle with a firm grip and position the blade at a shallow angle to the surface. Apply steady, controlled pressure and move the scraper along the surface in the direction that minimizes damage to the substrate. For thick coatings, start with a wider blade to remove bulk material, then switch to a narrower blade for detailed finishing. Replace or sharpen blades as soon as performance declines to maintain efficient scraping.

Recommendations

Use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and work gloves when scraping. Test the scraper on a small inconspicuous area if surface sensitivity is a concern. Keep blades sharp and properly mounted; store the set in a dry place to prevent corrosion. For painted surfaces, consider softening old paint with appropriate heat or chemical strippers before mechanical removal to reduce effort and risk of substrate damage.
