Supermicro AOC-653105A-ECAT - verkkosovitin

Data centers and enterprise servers often struggle with network bottlenecks that limit throughput and increase latency, especially under heavy virtualization and cloud workloads. The Supermicro AOC-653105A-ECAT directly addresses this challenge by delivering dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports in a compact OCP 3.0 Small Form Factor, enabling high-speed, low-latency connectivity for modern server platforms.

Who is it for

This adapter is ideal for IT administrators, system integrators, and data center operators who need to upgrade server network performance without sacrificing PCIe slots. It is particularly suited for cloud service providers, telco infrastructure, and enterprises deploying software-defined networking (SDN) or network function virtualization (NFV).

Main features

• Dual SFP+ ports supporting 10GbE speeds for high-bandwidth applications
• OCP NIC 3.0 SFF form factor for space-constrained server designs
• PCI Express 4.0 x8 host interface for ample throughput
• Intel Ethernet Controller E810-CAM2 with advanced offloads and virtualization support
• SR-IOV, VMDq, and VMMQ for efficient virtual machine networking
• iWARP and RoCEv2 RDMA support for low-latency storage and clustering
• Comprehensive stateless offloads including TSO, LRO, RSS, and FCoE
• DPDK, ADQ, and DDP support for high-performance packet processing
• NVMe over TCP acceleration for modern storage architectures

Tips

Ensure your server has an available OCP 3.0 slot and compatible airflow. For optimal performance, use SFP+ direct attach copper (DAC) cables or fiber transceivers rated for 10GbE. Update the adapter firmware and drivers to the latest versions from Supermicro to enable all features, including DDP profiles for specific workloads.
