Kuitukaapeli OM4 Synergy 21 90 m LC - LC

The Synergy 21 OM4 LC - LC fibre optic cable, 90 meters in length with a 50 µm core diameter, is designed for high-speed data transmission in structured cabling and short-reach multimode applications. The cable assembly provides full duplex connectivity via LC connectors on both ends and is intended to support demanding environments such as data centers and high-performance computing racks. Construction and materials focus on consistent optical performance and mechanical durability to maintain signal integrity across the 90 m link.

Advantages

The OM4 multimode specification enables higher bandwidth and extended reach compared with lower-grade multimode cables, supporting reliable transmission for 10 Gbit/s and higher short-reach links. LC connectors offer compact, duplex-ready terminations that simplify panel and transceiver connections. The 50 µm core provides optimized modal bandwidth for modern multimode transceivers, while the cable's build emphasizes mechanical protection and consistent performance over repeated moves, adds, and changes.

Suitable for

• Data center interconnects and top-of-rack to switch connections
• High-performance computing clusters and server farms
• Short-reach multimode links for 10 GbE, 40 GbE (with parallel optics), and other multimode transceiver applications
• Patch panels and fiber distribution frames in enterprise networks

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC, duplex
• Length: 90 m
• Transmission mode: full duplex
• Use case: indoor structured cabling and rack-to-rack links

How to use

Install the fibre optic cable by routing it through cable management pathways and securing it to avoid tight bends and physical stress. Terminate both ends in compatible LC ports on transceivers, patch panels, or network switches, ensuring correct duplex pairing. Confirm cleanliness of connector end-faces before mating to minimize insertion loss; use appropriate cleaning tools and visual inspection. After installation, test the link with an optical loss meter or OTDR where required to verify attenuation and continuity across the 90 m run.

Recommendations

Avoid bending the cable beyond its minimum bend radius and protect it from crushing or sharp impacts. Keep connector end-faces covered until connection, and perform end-to-end testing after installation to ensure compliance with required loss and bandwidth criteria.
