Insert a 1.5 V battery observing correct polarity, then place the thermometer on a stable flat surface within the indoor area to be monitored. Allow a few minutes for the sensor to reach ambient temperature and for the display to stabilise. For periodic checks, read the display at regular intervals; for continuous monitoring, check battery condition and replace the battery when readings become unstable.

Recommendations

Place the thermometer away from direct sunlight, heaters, radiators and ventilation outlets to obtain representative ambient temperature readings. Replace the 1.5 V battery when display or readings indicate reduced performance. Keep the device dry and avoid exposure to outdoor weather.
