How to use

Mount the HERO12 Black into the Volta grip and attach the Media Mod and Light Mod as needed. Use the rear touchscreen to select resolution, frame rate and digital lens, or choose Easy controls for quick captures. For extended recording, keep the Enduro battery fitted and use the Volta grip to increase runtime. To improve audio, connect an external microphone to the Media Mod 3.5 mm port or enable Bluetooth audio for a compatible wireless mic. Use the front screen for vlogging previews and the rear screen for composing scenes. Transfer footage wirelessly via the Quik app or plug the camera in with USB‑C for fast wired transfer; use SD card transfer to copy files to a computer if preferred.

Recommendations

For best results, update the camera firmware and use the GoPro Quik app with a GoPro subscription for automatic cloud upload and highlight creation. When shooting in high‑performance modes (5.3K60, 4K120, 2.7K240 or 1080p240), note that Horizon Lock is unavailable and battery/runtime may vary with settings and conditions. Use the Light Mod with diffuser for more even illumination and the removable windscreen on the Media Mod for improved outdoor audio.
