How to use

Before beginning installation, ensure the grill is cool and placed on a stable, level surface. Remove the existing hinge components according to the grill manufacturer’s guidance, keeping any retained fasteners if they remain serviceable. Position the TARGUS main hinge set so the hinge points align with the lid and base mounting locations for your 21" or 22" Kamado. Fasten securely using appropriate bolts or screws, torqueing to the manufacturer-recommended values when available. After installation, test the lid movement to confirm smooth opening and closing and verify that the lid remains balanced and properly seated.

Recommendations

Use corrosion-resistant fasteners and check hinge mounting points periodically for wear or loosening. If the grill lid feels unbalanced after replacement, re-check alignment and mounting torque; consult the grill’s service manual for model-specific instructions or contact a qualified technician when necessary.
