How to use

Connect the USB-C male plug to a compatible host device that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. Plug an HDMI cable from the adapter into the target display or projector and, if required, connect peripherals to the adapter's USB port. Power and video are negotiated automatically by the host and display; select the appropriate input on the HDMI display and set the output resolution in the host's display settings if necessary. No special drivers are typically required for devices that implement USB-C DP Alt Mode.

Recommendations

For best results, use high-quality HDMI cables rated for the target resolution and refresh rate. When targeting 8K@60Hz with HDR, ensure both the host device and the display support the required bandwidth and features (DP1.4 Alt Mode, DSC and HDCP where needed). Avoid excessive bending of the short cable and keep the adapter away from sources of heat for reliable operation.
