USB-kaapeli IOGEAR GUE2118

The IOGEAR USB 2.0 Booster Extension Cable (GUE2118) is an active USB Type-A male-to-female extension cable that amplifies USB 2.0 signals to extend connection distance beyond the standard 15 ft. The cable is transparent to host and device, compatible with any operating system and USB accessory, and supports USB High-Speed data transfer up to 480 Mbps. It is 39 ft (approx. 11.9 m) long and can be daisy-chained with up to three units to reach a total of 117 ft.

Advantages

The built-in booster chipset preserves signal integrity and amplifies high-speed USB signals without requiring drivers or an external power supply. The cable’s compact form factor with a secured lock mechanism simplifies long-distance USB connections and helps centralize devices while keeping a tidy workspace. It is compatible with PCs and Macs and supports Plug-and-Play operation.

Suitable for

• Extending a USB printer or scanner to a central location
• Connecting USB peripherals at longer distances from a PC or hub
• Temporary setups where a longer USB reach is needed without adding repeaters

Key specifications

• Model: IOGEAR GUE2118
• Connector type: USB Type-A male to USB Type-A female
• USB standard: USB 2.0 (High-Speed)
• Maximum transfer rate: up to 480 Mbps
• Cable length: 39 ft (approx. 11.9 m); up to 117 ft when using three daisy-chained units
• Compatibility: PC and Mac; OS-independent
• Power: No external power or drivers required

How to use

Connect the male USB Type-A plug to a host port (PC, Mac, or USB hub) and attach the USB peripheral to the female Type-A connector at the cable’s far end. The IOGEAR booster is plug-and-play, so the host should recognize connected devices automatically without installing drivers. To extend distance further, connect up to two additional IOGEAR booster extension cables in series (daisy-chain) to reach a total of up to 117 ft.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable, and do not exceed three daisy-chained units to maintain signal quality. Use the cable with USB 2.0 devices or in backward-compatible USB 1.1 modes where applicable.
