Verkkokaapeli Draka Comteq Cat.6a 5 m

The Draka Comteq Cat.6a 5m networking cable is a shielded S/FTP Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed wired connections. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends and a durable black outer jacket, the cable supports data transmission speeds up to 10 Gbps over its 5 meter length. Its construction reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, making it suitable for demanding network environments in both professional and home settings.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil with individually shielded pairs to limit external electromagnetic interference and minimize pair-to-pair crosstalk. This cable supports Category 6a performance, enabling 10 Gigabit Ethernet at short to medium distances while maintaining signal integrity. The molded RJ-45 connectors provide secure plug-in reliability and ease of installation. The black outer jacket offers a professional appearance and protection against everyday wear.

Suitable for

• Connecting network switches, routers and patch panels in office or server room racks
• Linking desktop computers, workstations and networked printers
• Home entertainment systems and high-bandwidth streaming devices
• Temporary or permanent cabling runs where 5 m length is appropriate

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a (augmented)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45, molded
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 10 Gbps (within standard Cat6a distances)
• Length: 5 meters
• Outer jacket color: black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to a network device such as a switch, router or wall outlet and the other connector to the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure physical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, kinks or stretching; maintain gentle curves with a bend radius that does not compromise the internal shielding and twisted pairs. For fixed installations, secure the cable with appropriate cable management accessories to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6a S/FTP cable in environments where electromagnetic interference may be present and when 10 Gbps connectivity is needed over short to medium distances. Avoid running the cable in parallel and close proximity to high-voltage power lines for extended lengths, and verify that connected equipment supports 10 Gigabit speeds if that throughput is required.
