Verkkokaapeli Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 1 m

The Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 1 m networking cable is a 1 metre Red patch cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed Ethernet connections. The S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) construction reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting reliable data transmission in demanding network environments. Its compact length and standard RJ-45 terminations make it suitable for short runs between devices in home, office, or rack setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding provides improved protection against external interference compared with unshielded cables, helping to maintain signal integrity at higher data rates. The Cat 6a specification enables performance suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short distances. A one-metre length reduces cable clutter in localized installations while the colour coding simplifies identification in patch panels and dense cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches to servers or workstations over short distances
• Patching between wall outlets and network devices in home or office
• Use in environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is required
• Colour-coded cable management and easy identification in racks

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded overall with individually foiled twisted pairs)
• Length: 1 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colour: Red

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding port of the network devices until the latch clicks. Use the cable for direct device-to-device links such as switch-to-PC, switch-to-switch short links, or patching between wall jacks and equipment. Avoid bending the cable sharply at the connector and keep it clear of sources of strong electromagnetic noise where possible to preserve shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, route the cable away from power lines and large electrical equipment. Use the one-metre length for short patch connections to minimize slack; where longer runs are required, select an appropriately longer Cat 6a cable. Verify connector seating and test the link with network diagnostic tools if you observe degraded throughput.
