Verkkokaapeli Helos kuitupigtail 12 x SC OM4 50/125µm 2,0m monivärinen

The Helos Faserpigtail 12 x SC OM4 50/125µm 2.0m Multicolor is a pre-terminated multimode fiber pigtail assembled for immediate integration into structured cabling systems. It contains twelve fibers terminated with SC connectors, follows OM4 multimode fiber geometry (50/125 µm) and is supplied in a 2.0 meter length. The multicolor jacketing provides visual identification of individual fibers to simplify routing and patch panel termination in racks and enclosures.

Advantages

This fiber pigtail offers OM4 performance for higher bandwidth and lower attenuation across typical multimode links, and the SC terminations provide reliable, keyed connection to standard adapters and panels. The 2.0 m length is sufficient for many patching and internal rack connections while keeping excess fiber manageable. The multicolor design reduces installation time by making individual fibers easy to identify during termination and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Data center patch panels and rack-mounted fiber management
• Optical distribution frames and splice enclosures
• High-bandwidth campus and enterprise multimode links
• Fiber backbone segments requiring organized color coding

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM4
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Number of fibers: 12
• Connector type: SC (12 terminated connectors)
• Length: 2.0 m
• Jacket: Multicolor for individual fiber identification

How to use

Route the 2.0 m pigtail from the splice tray or breakout location to the patch panel or adapter panel. If splicing is required, secure the bare fiber in a splice holder and perform fusion or mechanical splices according to site procedures, then protect the splice with appropriate heat-shrink or splice protectors. Insert the SC connectors into compatible adapter ports, ensuring correct seating and that connector keys align. Use cable management to secure the pigtail and maintain proper bend radius to avoid increased attenuation.

Recommendations

Handle the OM4 fibers with care to maintain connector endface cleanliness and preserve optical performance. Use appropriate cleaning tools before mating connectors, avoid tight bends (adhere to the manufacturer's minimum bend radius), and label both ends when integrating into panels to maintain clear identification over time.
