Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks 75712-A CAT 6A S/FTP halogeeniton, 2,0 m

ShiverPeaks 75712-A CAT 6A S/FTP halogen-free network cable, 2.0 m, is designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications and structured cabling in offices and data centers. The cable uses individually foil-shielded twisted pairs combined with an overall braided shield (S/FTP) to reduce near-end crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. It features RJ45 plugs on both ends and a halogen-free jacket suitable for environments where low smoke and low toxicity are required.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction with foil around each pair and an overall braided shield improves immunity to external electromagnetic disturbances and minimizes pair-to-pair crosstalk, supporting reliable high-speed transmission up to Cat 6A performance. The halogen-free outer sheath reduces hazardous gases in case of fire, and the 2.0 m length provides a practical patch connection between switches, patch panels and endpoints. The cable conductors are stranded for flexibility while maintaining signal integrity for 10 Gbps links.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches, servers and workstations
• Patch connections in structured cabling within offices and data centers
• Environments requiring halogen-free cabling for reduced smoke and toxicity
• High-interference areas where S/FTP shielding helps maintain signal quality

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6A, performance up to 500 MHz suitable for 10 GBASE-T
• Shielding: S/FTP — foil around each pair plus overall braided shield (PIMF)
• Conductor: stranded copper conductors, AWG 26/7 for flexibility
• Connectors: RJ45 plug to RJ45 plug, wired to TIA/EIA-568B standard
• Jacket: halogen-free outer sheath for reduced smoke and toxicity
• Length: 2.0 m

How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug to your network switch, patch panel or router and the other RJ45 plug to the target device such as a server, PC or networked appliance. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch engages. Use the cable for short patch runs; avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force to maintain shielding integrity and conductor performance. For best results, route the cable separately from high-voltage power lines and avoid bundling with unshielded cables in high-interference zones.

Recommendations

Inspect connectors and cable jacket before installation. Maintain minimum bend radius as specified by Cat 6A guidelines and avoid kinking. For permanent horizontal cabling or outdoor use, select purpose-built solid-conductor or outdoor-rated cables instead of stranded patch cords.
