Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 0.25m

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 networking cable 0.25m is a short, shielded Ethernet patch lead designed for high-speed data transmission in compact installations. The cable uses U/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs) shielding and RJ-45 connectors at both ends. Its 0.25 meter length makes it suitable for tidy connections between adjacent devices such as network switches, patch panels, routers and desktop network ports. The white jacket provides a discrete, clean appearance in home and office environments.

Advantages

U/FTP (STP) shielding reduces crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment. The Cat7 specification supports higher frequencies and robust data transfer characteristics compared with lower-category cables. The short 0.25 m length minimises excess cable clutter and potential signal loss from unnecessarily long runs, while standard RJ-45 connectors ensure compatibility with common network equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting adjacent devices in rack or desktop setups
• Short patch connections between switch ports and patch panels
• Linking modems, routers or network interface cards in compact workspaces
• Environments where reduced interference is required, such as offices with many electronic devices

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Length: 0.25 m
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Jacket color: White

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding Ethernet ports of the devices you want to connect. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Use the 0.25 m cable where devices are close together to keep the installation neat; avoid bending the cable sharply near the connector to prevent damage to internal conductors and shielding. If installing inside a rack or patch panel, route the cable to avoid stress on connection points.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the cable for short, direct connections and avoid running it alongside high-power electrical lines. If the network environment requires longer runs or cable routing through walls, select an appropriately rated longer cable and follow local building and safety regulations when performing permanent installations.
