Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks BS08-22040 harmaa 3m Cat6 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-22040 Grey 3m Cat6 U/UTP networking cable is designed for wired Ethernet connections in home and office environments. This 3-metre cable conforms to Cat6 performance requirements and uses U/UTP construction with unshielded twisted pairs inside an overall unshielded jacket. Both ends are terminated with RJ-45 plugs featuring gold-plated contacts to improve contact quality and corrosion resistance. The cable supports data transfer rates up to 1000 Mbit/s and is suitable for typical Gigabit Ethernet applications between switches, routers, computers and networked devices.

Advantages

The cable provides stable Gigabit-capable performance within its specified length and meets Cat6 wiring standards for reduced crosstalk and consistent signal transmission. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance reliability of the physical connection and reduce oxidation over time. The grey, flexible jacket supports standard installation routing and patching in racks, desks or wall outlets while maintaining a compact profile for tidy cable management.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, NAS devices and network printers to a router or switch
• Patch panel to switch connections in small office racks
• Desktop and home networking where a 3 m reach is required
• Temporary setups for events or testing network equipment

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance level
• Length: 3 metres
• Conductor configuration: 4 pairs, twisted
• Shielding: U/UTP (overall unshielded, individual pairs unshielded)
• Connector type: RJ-45 plugs on both ends
• Contacts: gold-plated contacts for improved corrosion resistance
• Supported link speed: up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Jacket colour and material: grey flexible outer jacket

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network port of your router, switch or modem and the other plug to the Ethernet port of your computer, NAS or networked device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure physical connection. For rack or panel installations, route the cable without sharp bends and avoid tight kinks to preserve signal integrity. Verify link status on your devices and configure network settings as required for your environment.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines and keep separation from sources of electromagnetic interference. Use the 3 m length for patching and short runs; for permanently installed runs through walls or ceilings, follow local installation codes and consider plenum-rated or in-wall rated alternatives if required.
