Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks BS08-40001 0,25 m Cat8 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-40001 0.25m Cat8 S/FTP networking cable is a short, high-performance Ethernet lead designed for reliable, low-latency connections. Built to Cat8 specifications with S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 terminations, this 0.25 metre cable supports high data rates and reduces electromagnetic interference in dense or equipment-rich environments. The blue jacket provides easy visual identification in patch panels and desktop setups.

Advantages

This Cat8 S/FTP cable offers improved shielding performance thanks to its braided overall shield and individually foil-wrapped pairs, which together minimise crosstalk and external interference. Gold-plated contacts on the RJ-45 plugs ensure consistent conductivity and corrosion resistance for long-term signal integrity. Its short 0.25 m length reduces unwanted cable slack and signal reflections in short patching runs.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between network devices in server rooms and data cabinets
• High-speed uplinks where short, low-latency links are required
• Desktop or workstation connections to nearby switches or routers
• Environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment where additional shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8 Ethernet cable
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 plug to RJ-45 plug
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Length: 0.25 m
• Colour: Blue jacket
• Intended performance: Designed for high-frequency, high-speed data transmission

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into the corresponding switch, router or patch panel port. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Use the 0.25 m cable for short-distance, direct connections to avoid excess cable loops and to maintain tidy cable management in racks or workstations. Inspect connectors and cable jacket for damage before installation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, route the cable away from high-voltage power lines and avoid tight bends or kinks that may stress the shielding or conductors. Use this short Cat8 S/FTP lead where a minimal-length, shielded connection is required; for longer runs select appropriately rated cable lengths while maintaining consistent shielding and category class.
