Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks BS08-41000 0,25 m Cat8.1 F/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41000 0.25m Cat8.1 F/FTP networking cable is a short patch cable designed for high-speed, low-latency connections between networking equipment. It features RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts and F/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. With support for data transfer rates up to 40000 Mbit/s, this grey cable is intended for professional and home network setups where short, reliable links are required.

Advantages

F/FTP shielding provides enhanced protection against external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk, improving signal integrity for demanding applications. The RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts ensure stable connections and corrosion resistance for long-term reliability. The compact 0.25 m length reduces excess cable bulk and simplifies tidy patching in racks, switches, or workstations.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches and patch panels in server rooms and data centers
• Short connections between routers, network cards, and high-speed devices
• Home lab or professional setups requiring Cat8.1 performance over short distances
• Environments where reduced interference and organized cabling are priorities

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat8.1
• Shielding: F/FTP (foil overall with individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Length: 0.25 m
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Color: grey

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to a network port on a switch, router or network interface card and the other end to the corresponding port on the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the link. Use this short cable where minimal slack is desired—avoid stretching or sharp bends at the connector ends to maintain signal performance and mechanical integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use this 0.25 m Cat8.1 cable for direct patching between adjacent rack ports or devices within the same equipment shelf. Keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines and strong sources of electromagnetic interference. Periodically inspect connectors for contamination and replace the cable if connectors show wear or if link performance degrades.
