Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks Cat 6 S/FTP PIMF 08-64006, kiinteä/joustava LAN-kaapeli gigabitin Ethernetiin

ShiverPeaks Cat 6 S/FTP PIMF (model 08-64006) is a twisted-pair LAN cable engineered for Gigabit Ethernet and high-speed data transmission. The cable combines an overall braided shield with individually foil-wrapped pairs (S/FTP PIMF) to minimise crosstalk and protect signal integrity in environments with electromagnetic interference. Available in solid and stranded conductor versions, it supports reliable wired network connections in offices, data centers and home networks where shielded Cat6 performance is required.

Advantages

The S/FTP PIMF construction provides enhanced protection against alien crosstalk and external electromagnetic disturbances compared with unshielded cables, improving stability for Gigabit Ethernet links. Support for both solid and stranded conductors allows flexible use for permanent installations and patching applications. The cable’s Category 6 design delivers the bandwidth and pair separation needed for 1 Gbps networks and shorter runs at higher frequencies. Its shielded design also helps maintain signal quality in mixed-cable or electrically noisy environments.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections in office and data centre racks
• Shielded structured cabling for commercial buildings
• Home network runs where EMI protection is required
• Permanent in-wall installations (solid conductor) and patch cords (stranded conductor)

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6 twisted-pair cable suitable for Gigabit Ethernet
• Shielding: S/FTP with overall braid and individual foil-wrapped pairs (PIMF)
• Conductor types: solid and stranded conductor options
• Frequency/bandwidth: Category 6 performance for higher-frequency transmission up to standard Cat6 limits
• Typical use: LAN patching, in-wall runs, and rack connections requiring shielded cable

How to use

Select the appropriate conductor type for the intended installation: use solid conductor cable for fixed, in-wall or permanent backbone runs and stranded conductor cable for patch cords and flexible interconnects. Terminate using compatible shielded RJ45 connectors and ensure correct grounding of the cable shield and drainage wire where applicable to maintain the benefits of S/FTP protection. Observe bend-radius recommendations and avoid running the cable in parallel with power lines to minimise interference.

Recommendations

For best performance in shielded installations, pair this cable with shielded connectors, patch panels and properly grounded equipment. Verify channel performance after installation with appropriate testing tools to confirm Cat 6 compliance and identify any installation-induced impairments.
