Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 3m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 3m networking cable is a 3‑metre Ethernet cable designed for reliable high‑speed data transfer in home and office networks. Featuring S/FTP (shielded foil twisted pair) construction and RJ‑45 connectors with gold plating, this Cat6 cable supports consistent signal quality and reduced electromagnetic interference over short to medium link distances. The cable's length and connector type make it suitable for connecting routers, switches, network interfaces and other Ethernet-enabled devices where a 3 m reach is required.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding provides individual foil around each twisted pair plus an overall braided shield, which improves immunity to crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference compared to unshielded cables. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 plugs ensure corrosion resistance and stable contact, contributing to low contact resistance and consistent throughput. The Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidth and performance than older category cables, making this cable appropriate for gigabit Ethernet links and many modern networking setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers and laptops to routers or switches within homes and offices
• Linking networked devices such as NAS, IP cameras and printers to a local network
• Short structured cabling runs and patch connections in small server rooms or network racks
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is beneficial (near other electronic equipment)

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding type: S/FTP (foil around each pair + overall braided or foil shield)
• Length: 3 metres
• Connector type: RJ‑45 male to RJ‑45 male
• Contact plating: Gold‑plated contacts
• Supported data rates: Suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and typical Cat6 bandwidths
• Conductor arrangement: Twisted pairs

How to use

Insert each RJ‑45 connector firmly into the Ethernet ports of the devices you intend to connect until the latch clicks. Ensure both ends are fully seated to establish a stable physical and electrical connection. For optimal performance, avoid sharp bends, kinks or tight coils in the cable and keep the cable run away from high‑voltage power lines or heavy machinery that may generate interference. After connecting, verify link status indicators on your devices to confirm an active network connection.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for short to medium runs up to 3 metres where enhanced shielding is preferred. For permanently installed or longer structured cabling, consider following local cabling standards and using appropriate cable management to protect shielding and connectors.
