Verkkokytkin hallitsematon Trendnet TPE-S50

The Trendnet TPE-S50 is an unmanaged 5-port Fast Ethernet switch that supplies data and Power over Ethernet (PoE) to connected devices. It includes four 10/100 Mbps PoE ports and one 10/100 Mbps non-PoE port, supports IEEE 802.3af devices and provides a total PoE power budget of 31 watts. The metal housing and plug-and-play design make the TPE-S50 suitable for simple, reliable PoE deployments for access points, IP cameras and other compatible network devices.

Advantages

The TPE-S50 delivers combined data and power over existing Ethernet cabling, reducing the need for separate power lines. As an unmanaged switch it requires no configuration and offers a compact, metal build for durability. It supports standard IEEE networking protocols and provides a 1 Gbit/s switching capacity with a MAC address table capable of 1024 entries, ensuring straightforward connectivity for small networks.

Suitable for

• Connecting and powering IP cameras
• Connecting and powering wireless access points
• Small office or home network PoE deployments
• Extending network connections where a non-managed Fast Ethernet switch is sufficient

How to use

Place the TPE-S50 on a stable surface or mount it according to the manufacturer instructions. Connect one non-PoE port to your router or upstream switch using a Cat5e or better Ethernet cable. Plug PoE-capable devices such as access points or IP cameras into the PoE ports; the switch will automatically detect and supply power to IEEE 802.3af-compliant devices. No further configuration is required for typical deployments.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use quality Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cables, ensure the combined PoE power draw of connected devices does not exceed the 31 W budget, and allow adequate ventilation around the metal housing to prevent overheating.
