Verkkopistorasia 2 x RJ-45 ShiverPeaks 74280-GR – Cat6a, 500 MHz, metallikotelo, harmaa/hopea

ShiverPeaks S/CONN 74280-GR is a dual-port wall socket outlet engineered for Category 6a cabling supporting frequencies up to 500 MHz. Housed in a metal enclosure with a matt grey and silver finish, this unit provides two RJ-45 interfaces in a single-piece format suitable for structured cabling in offices, data cabinets and professional network installations.

Advantages

The metal housing offers mechanical robustness and improved shielding against electromagnetic interference compared with plastic-face outlets. Support for Cat6a and 500 MHz enables reliable 10 Gigabit Ethernet transmission over appropriate cabling. The dual RJ-45 configuration in one compact module reduces outlet footprint while keeping two independent network connections accessible. The matt grey and silver finish is designed to integrate with modern interior and rack environments.

Suitable for

• Office workstations requiring two Ethernet ports
• Network cabinets and patch panels in small to medium data rooms
• Structured cabling installations in commercial buildings
• Environments where improved shielding and mechanical protection are needed

Key specifications

• Connector type: 2 × RJ-45
• Category support: Cat6a (Category 6a)
• Frequency range: up to 500 MHz
• Housing material: metal
• Finish: matt grey and silver
• Form factor: single-piece dual-port wall socket

How to use

Mount the socket in a compatible wall box or patch panel opening following local installation standards and safety regulations. Terminate Category 6a twisted-pair cables to the rear termination points according to T568A or T568B wiring schemes, ensuring correct pair alignment and sufficient cable preparation for secure contact. After termination, test each RJ-45 port with an appropriate network tester for continuity and performance up to 500 MHz to confirm correct installation and performance.

Recommendations

For optimal 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance, use certified Cat6a cabling and maintain proper cable management to avoid excessive bend radius or untwisting of pairs. Grounding the metal housing in installations with conductive faceplates can improve shielding effectiveness in electronically noisy environments.
