Verkon jatkosarja Renkforce RF-2982884, 2 porttia, 2-johdin, kantama jopa 400 m

The Renkforce RF-2982884 network extension set extends Ethernet-like connectivity over long two-wire lines, allowing reliable data transmission up to 400 m between remote devices. The kit provides two ports and is designed for use where conventional Ethernet cabling is impractical or where existing two-core wiring is available. It supports stable point-to-point network links in building and industrial environments and simplifies installation by reusing simple two-wire runs instead of full Ethernet cable.

Advantages

The device enables network extension over existing two-core cables, reducing the need for new cabling and lowering installation complexity. It supports distances up to 400 m while maintaining a stable connection suitable for many monitoring and control applications. Compact design and straightforward wiring make it suitable for retrofitting into existing installations. The two-port configuration gives flexibility for connecting two remote devices or linking local and remote segments.

Suitable for

• Extending network links in industrial automation and machine control
• Connecting remote sensors, PLCs or access points over long two-wire runs
• Retrofitting data connectivity in older buildings with existing two-core wiring
• Point-to-point links for surveillance cameras and remote I/O modules

Key specifications

• Connection type: 2-wire line interface for data extension
• Ports: 2 network ports for linking devices
• Maximum range: up to 400 meters over suitable two-core cable
• Application environment: building and industrial installations
• Typical use: point-to-point Ethernet-like data transmission over long distances

How to use

Install one unit at each end of the two-wire run and connect the local network device to the local port and the remote device to the remote port. Ensure the two-core line between units is properly terminated and that wiring polarity is correct according to the installation instructions. Power the units as required and verify link LEDs (if present) to confirm successful connection. Test the data link with the intended devices and adjust cable routing to avoid strong electromagnetic interference sources.

Recommendations

Use suitable two-core cable with intact insulation and minimal damage; avoid running the line parallel to high-voltage power cables. For critical applications, verify throughput and latency under expected load and consider environmental protection or mounting in electrical enclosures to meet industrial requirements.
