Videokaapeli-adapteri DisplayPort DVI ShiverPeaks BS14-05007

The ShiverPeaks video cable adapter DisplayPort DVI BS14-05007 is a compact passive adapter that converts a DisplayPort output to a DVI input. It features a male DisplayPort connector to plug directly into a source device and provides a DVI connection for monitors, projectors or KVM switches. The adapter is supplied in a polybag and is designed to offer a simple, space-saving way to connect a DisplayPort-equipped computer or graphics card to a display with a DVI port.

Advantages

This adapter supports straightforward digital signal conversion without additional drivers or external power, enabling quick plug-and-play setup. Its compact form factor reduces cable clutter and helps maintain a tidy workstation. The solid mechanical connectors ensure a stable physical connection while remaining lightweight for easy transport or installation in tight spaces.

Suitable for

• Connecting a DisplayPort-enabled PC or laptop to a monitor or projector with DVI input
• Use with desktop graphics cards that provide DisplayPort outputs and legacy DVI displays
• Temporary setups where a simple, portable adapter is required

Key specifications

• Connector A: DisplayPort (male)
• Connector B: DVI (female)
• Function: DisplayPort-to-DVI passive adapter for digital video
• Form factor: Compact inline adapter in polybag packaging
• Compatibility: Designed for DisplayPort sources and DVI single-link displays (digital DVI)

How to use

To use the adapter, insert the male DisplayPort connector firmly into the DisplayPort output on the source device until it clicks or seats securely. Connect a DVI cable from the adapter’s female DVI connector to the DVI input on the display. Power on the source and display; the system should recognize the external monitor automatically. Adjust display settings such as resolution and refresh rate in the operating system if necessary to match the capabilities of the DVI display.

Recommendations

Ensure the target display supports digital DVI input (DVI-D). This passive adapter does not convert analog signals (DVI-A) and is not suitable for converting to VGA. For resolutions above typical single-link DVI limits or for active signal conversion, consider an active converter that supports the required bandwidth. Handle connectors gently and avoid excessive bending of attached cables to maintain connector life and signal integrity.
