Videokaapeliadapteri HDMI Type-A DVI-D ShiverPeaks BS77485

The ShiverPeaks BS77485 is a 5 m video cable adapter with an HDMI Type A (Standard) plug on one end and a DVI-D connector on the other. It enables direct transmission of digital video signals between HDMI-equipped sources and DVI-D displays without active conversion, offering a straightforward cable solution for extending connections in home theatre, gaming and professional monitor setups. The cable is finished in black and is designed for reliable daily use where a fixed-length passive adapter cable is appropriate.

Advantages

This 5 m HDMI to DVI-D adapter supports pure digital video transfer, minimising signal loss that can occur with longer runs. Its passive design avoids the need for power or drivers, simplifying installation. The black outer jacket and standard connector shapes ensure compatibility with most devices and racks, while the cable length gives flexibility to position sources and displays apart without additional extenders.

Suitable for

• Connecting Blu‑ray players, set‑top boxes or media players with HDMI output to DVI‑D monitors or projectors
• PC workstations where a graphics card with HDMI must drive a DVI‑D display
• Home theatre and living‑room AV layouts where a 5 m cable run is required
• Temporary or semi‑permanent installations in small offices or classrooms

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 metres
• Connector A: HDMI Type A (Standard) plug
• Connector B: DVI‑D connector
• Signal type: Digital video only (no analogue signals)
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect the HDMI Type A plug to the HDMI output of the source device and insert the DVI‑D connector into the DVI‑D input on the display. Ensure both devices are powered off or in standby when making the physical connection to avoid hot‑plug issues, then power them on and select the correct input on the display. Because the adapter is passive and carries digital video only, audio will not be transmitted over the DVI‑D connection; use a separate audio connection if required.

Recommendations

For best results, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable and keep it away from strong electromagnetic sources. If longer runs or support for audio and higher bandwidths (such as newer HDMI features) are required, consider active converters or dedicated long‑reach solutions.
