ACT 0,5 metrin monimuotokuitu 50/125 OM3 Polarity Twist kuitukaapeli LC-liittimillä

The ACT Multimode 50/125 OM3 fiber optic cable, 0.5 m length with LC connectors, provides short-range high-bandwidth connectivity suitable for modern network infrastructures. Constructed to multimode OM3 specifications with a 50 µm core diameter and LC terminations, this cable supports reliable data transmission in environments such as data centers, server rooms, and equipment racks. The polarity twist design maintains correct channel orientation and helps reduce insertion loss across connections.

Advantages

This 0.5 m OM3 multimode fiber cable offers low attenuation and consistent multimode performance for short-distance links. LC connectors provide a compact form factor that is widely compatible with transceivers and patch panels. The OM3 specification enables support for higher modal bandwidth compared to lower OM grades, and the short length reduces potential signal degradation and simplifies cable management in dense installations.

Suitable for

• Patching between switches, transceivers and patch panels in data centers
• Short-range links in server rooms and telecom racks
• High-density network cabinets and fiber distribution frames
• Connections requiring LC connector terminations and maintained polarity

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM3
• Core / cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connector type: LC to LC
• Polarity: Polarity twist (maintained orientation)
• Application: Short-range, high-bandwidth multimode links

How to use

Inspect connectors and ports for dust or damage before installation and clean connectors with appropriate fiber cleaning tools if necessary. Align and insert each LC connector into the matching LC receptacle until it clicks, ensuring correct polarity orientation for transmit and receive channels according to your equipment layout. Route the 0.5 m cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain minimum bend radius as recommended by equipment vendors. When removing the cable, depress the LC latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule or receptacle.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short interconnects where OM3 multimode performance is required. Store and handle connectors with protective dust caps when not in use, follow standard fiber safety practices, and use appropriate cleaning methods to preserve link quality over time.
