ACT 15 metrin LSZH monimuotokuitu 62.5/125 OM1 -kuituverkkokaapeli duplex ST-liittimillä

The ACT 15 meter LSZH Multimode 62.5/125 OM1 fiber patch cable with duplex ST connectors provides a ready-to-use connection for short- to medium-distance multimode networks. Designed for full-duplex data transmission, this 15 m cable uses 62.5/125 µm OM1 multimode fiber and standard ST metal bayonet connectors on both ends. The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket reduces toxic and corrosive gas emission in case of fire, improving safety in enclosed or populated spaces. The cable is intended for structured cabling links where multimode performance and safety-rated jacketing are required.

Advantages

The cable combines OM1 multimode fiber (62.5/125) with duplex ST connectors to support legacy multimode equipment and simple plug-and-play deployment. The 15 meter length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or room-to-room connections without additional splicing. An LSZH outer jacket minimizes smoke and halogen output, which is beneficial in data centers, telecommunications closets, and other environments with fire-safety requirements. The ST connectors provide a secure, keyed bayonet coupling and are widely compatible with equipment that uses ST interfaces.

Suitable for

• Multimode network interconnections in data centers and server rooms
• Patch panels and optical distribution frames using ST connectors
• Telecommunications rooms and equipment cabinets requiring LSZH jacketing
• Short- to medium-distance links where OM1 (62.5/125) multimode fiber is specified

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM1
• Core/cladding diameter: 62.5/125 µm
• Length: 15 meters
• Connector type: Duplex ST (two ST connectors, one on each duplex end)
• Jacket material: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Mode: Full duplex

How to use

Route the ACT 15 meter LSZH multimode patch cable between two compatible ST interfaces, ensuring connectors are clean and free of dust before insertion. Align the ST bayonet connector with the equipment receptacle, insert, and twist to lock the connector in place. Avoid sharp bends or kinks; maintain minimum bend radius as recommended by standard multimode fiber handling practices. For longer-term installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management to prevent strain on the connectors and to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Inspect and clean ST fiber endfaces with approved fiber cleaning tools before each connection. Use this OM1 62.5/125 multimode cable for applications matching OM1 performance; for higher bandwidth or longer reach, consider multimode OM3/OM4 or singlemode alternatives. Store and route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress to maintain link quality.
