ACT 15 metrin Multimode 50/125 OM3 Polarity Twist kuitukaapeli LC-liittimillä

The ACT Multimode 50/125 OM3 fiber optic cable, 15 meters long with LC connectors, is designed for high-speed data transmission in local and enterprise networks. With a 50 µm core and OM3 grading, the cable supports multimode signals and full-duplex communication for equipment with LC interfaces. Its construction targets reliable performance for links within data centers, server rooms, and network closets where consistent bandwidth and low loss are required.

Advantages

The OM3 specification ensures improved modal bandwidth compared with lower-grade multimode fibers, enabling longer reach at common wavelengths used for network equipment. LC connectors provide compact, industry-standard terminations suitable for high-density patch panels and interface ports. The 15 meter length offers flexibility for typical rack-to-rack and equipment-to-patch-panel connections while maintaining optical performance and low insertion loss.

Suitable for

• Data center rack-to-rack connections
• Server room patching and equipment interconnects
• Enterprise LAN backbone segments
• Multimode links requiring LC terminations

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• OM grading: OM3
• Connector type: LC to LC
• Length: 15 m
• Transmission: Full duplex
• Typical use wavelengths: 850 nm / 1300 nm

How to use

Inspect both LC connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and clean them if necessary using appropriate fiber cleaning tools. Route the cable avoiding tight bends and excessive tensile stress, keeping bend radius within the manufacturer’s recommended limits for multimode fiber. Plug LC connectors into corresponding LC ports on transceivers, patch panels, or switches, ensuring secure seating without force. Perform optical testing or link verification after installation to confirm acceptable loss and continuity.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dry, dust-free environment and avoid kinking. For optimal performance in data center environments, pair the OM3 multimode cable with compatible transceivers and follow standard fiber management practices to minimize insertion loss and reflections.
