ACT violetti 1 m U/UTP CAT5E -verkkokaapeli RJ45-liittimillä

The ACT Purple 1 meter U/UTP CAT5E RJ45 patch cable is a single-metre network lead designed for short-range Ethernet connections. It uses four twisted pairs in an unshielded configuration and AWG 24 conductors to support data transmission up to CAT5E class performance. The purple PVC jacket (RAL 4005) identifies the cable in patch panels or crowded cable runs while providing basic mechanical protection and flexibility for desk- and rack-level installations.

Advantages

Gold-plated contacts on the RJ45 plugs reduce contact resistance and improve long-term signal integrity. The 1 m length minimises excess cable and signal loss for close device connections. The U/UTP construction and CAT5E specification provide compatibility with most modern Ethernet equipment while remaining cost-effective and easy to deploy. The PVC sheath balances durability and pliability for everyday handling.

Key specifications

• Category: CAT5E, performance up to 100 MHz
• Configuration: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 1 metre
• Conductors: AWG 24 copper
• Connector: RJ45 with gold-plated contacts
• Sheath material: PVC
• Colour: Purple (RAL 4005)

How to use

Insert the RJ45 plug into the Ethernet port of the device until the latch clicks. Use the 1 m cable to connect nearby devices such as computers, switches, routers or patch panels. Avoid sharp bends near the connectors and do not stretch the cable; allow gentle curves to preserve the twisted-pair geometry. For rack installations, route the cable through cable managers to prevent strain on the plugs.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep cable runs within recommended length limits for CAT5E and avoid running the cable parallel to power lines for long distances. Inspect connectors periodically for debris and replace the cable if the jacket or plug shows visible damage.
