BlueOptics 00MN520 InfiniBand-kuitu-kaapeli 30 m LC Aqua OM3

The BlueOptics 00MN520 InfiniBand fibre optic cable 30 m LC Aqua OM3 is a 30-metre duplex multimode fibre patch cable with LC connectors, engineered for high-speed InfiniBand links and short-range data centre interconnects. The cable uses OM3 multimode fibre with a 125 µm core diameter and aqua-coloured jackets for easy identification. It supports full-duplex transmission and is suitable for environments that require low-latency, high-bandwidth connections between switches, servers and storage systems.

Advantages

This OM3 multimode fibre cable offers a balance of performance and manageability: the OM3 grade enables reliable 10 Gbps and higher short-range links, while LC connectors provide a compact footprint suitable for dense patch panels. The aqua jacket improves visual organization in racks and cable trays. The pre-terminated duplex design reduces installation time and the standard multimode core diameter ensures compatibility with commonly used networking transceivers and InfiniBand hardware.

Suitable for

• Data centre server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections
• High-performance computing (HPC) clusters using InfiniBand
• Storage area network (SAN) interconnects and fibre channel environments
• Patch panels and high-density rack installations

Key specifications

• Length: 30 m
• Connector type: LC duplex
• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 125 µm
• Jacket colour: Aqua
• Transmission: Full duplex

How to use

Route the cable through cable management pathways and avoid sharp bends; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the fibre manufacturer when installing in racks or conduits. Insert LC connectors into corresponding LC ports on networking equipment until they click into place, ensuring correct orientation for transmit and receive channels. For best performance, keep connector endfaces clean using appropriate fibre cleaning tools and verify link status with network diagnostics after installation.

Recommendations

For reliable results, store and handle the OM3 fibre cable in a dust-free environment and use dust caps when connectors are not mated. Use this cable for short- to medium-range InfiniBand links where OM3 multimode performance is sufficient; for longer distances or single-mode transceivers, select an appropriate single-mode fibre solution. Periodically inspect connectors and cable jackets for damage and replace if attenuation or physical defects are found.
