BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-LC-3M-BO InfiniBand-kuituoptinen kaapeli aqua 3 m OM3 LC SC

The BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-LC-3M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 3 meter multimode OM3 patch cable with an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other. Designed for short- to medium-range high-speed optical links, this cable uses laser-optimized multimode OM3 fibre and a flame-retardant LSZH jacket for deployments in data centres, racks and network cabinets. Each cable is tested for input loss and return loss and is produced using quality fibre and connector components to ensure stable signal transmission and compatibility with common networking and InfiniBand equipment.

Advantages

This LC–SC OM3 patch cable delivers low attenuation and high return loss, supporting reliable optical connectivity for multimode links. The cable is manufactured with branded OM3 fibre and zirconia ceramic ferrules to maintain performance over repeated matings. The LSZH sheath reduces smoke and halogen emission risk in case of fire, and factory test reports (input loss and return loss) are supplied to document compliance with optical performance requirements.

How to use

Route the cable through the rack or cable management tray to avoid tight bends; maintain the manufacturer's recommended minimum bend radius for OM3 multimode fibre. Insert the LC connector into the corresponding LC port and the SC connector into the SC port or adapter until a secure connection is achieved. Verify link operation using network diagnostics or an optical power meter and consult the supplied measurement protocol to confirm input and return loss values. When disconnecting, press the connector latch (for LC) or release the SC coupling mechanism and pull gently to avoid stressing the fibre.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment; keep connector end faces covered with protective caps until installation. Avoid twisting or exceeding the bend radius, and perform end-face inspection and cleaning with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before connecting to minimize loss and reflections.
