BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-4LC-OM4-10M InfiniBand-kuituoptinen kaapeli 10 m MPO/UPC 4x LC Duplex/UPC

The BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-4LC-OM4-10M is a 10-metre multimode fibre optic cable designed for high-density InfiniBand environments and short-range data centre interconnects. It has an MPO connector on one end and four LC duplex connectors on the other, delivering full duplex transmission over OM4 multimode fibre. The cable is intended to provide consistent optical performance, low insertion loss and reliable signal integrity for high-speed links in server racks, switch panels and patching systems.

Advantages

This fibre assembly leverages OM4 multimode fibre to support higher bandwidth and longer reach compared with lower-grade multimode types within the same deployment. The MPO-to-4xLC configuration simplifies migration between high-density trunk cabling and LC-based transceivers or modules. The 10 m length offers flexible routing in rack and cabinet layouts while maintaining predictable optical loss budgets and stable full duplex operation suitable for InfiniBand links and other short-reach, high-throughput networks.

Suitable for

• Short-range InfiniBand interconnects in data centres and HPC clusters
• Connecting MPO trunk lines to LC port transceivers or patch panels
• High-density rack patching and cross-connect applications
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links within the same equipment room

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode fibre
• Cable length: 10 metres
• Connector A: MPO, multi-fibre connector
• Connector B: 4 × LC duplex connectors
• Polish type: UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) endfaces
• Transmission: full duplex multimode optical links
• Typical use: short-reach, high-bandwidth interconnects

How to use

Route the cable through your rack or cable management system to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension. Plug the MPO end into the appropriate multi-fibre trunk or module, ensuring alignment and correct key orientation, and connect the LC duplex ends to the matching LC ports on transceivers, patch panels or network equipment. Verify link status on both ends and measure optical loss if required to confirm the connection meets the system budget. Handle connector endfaces carefully and clean them with approved fibre cleaning tools before mating to prevent contamination and signal degradation.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable to maintain minimum bend radius for OM4 multimode fibre and avoid mechanical stress. Use labelled cable management and, when integrating into existing infrastructures, verify polarity and channel mapping between the MPO trunk and the individual LC pairs to ensure correct full duplex operation.
