BlueOptics EMC CBL-MPO12-4LC-OM4-7M InfiniBand-kuituoptinen kaapeli 7,5 m

The BlueOptics EMC CBL-MPO12-4LC-OM4-7M InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7.5 m is a multi-fiber trunk cable designed for high-speed, full-duplex data transmission in data centre and enterprise networks. It terminates with an MPO/UPC connector on one end and four LC duplex/UPC connectors on the other, using OM4 multimode fibre to support low-loss, high-bandwidth links over short to medium distances. The cable construction and connector types make it suitable for trunk-to-patch or breakout connections between switches, storage arrays and server NICs.

Advantages

This fibre patch cable supports InfiniBand environments and offers multi-channel connectivity with MPO to LC breakout wiring, enabling simultaneous parallel links. OM4 multimode fibre and UPC polish connectors provide reduced insertion loss and consistent optical performance. At 7.5 m length the cable offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or within-rack routing while maintaining signal integrity for demanding network applications.

Suitable for

• High-speed InfiniBand fabric interconnects in data centres
• Breakout connections from MPO trunk to multiple LC duplex ports
• Switch-to-patch panel, switch-to-server or switch-to-storage cabling
• Short- to medium-reach multimode backbone and aggregation links

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Connector A: MPO (UPC polish), multi-fiber
• Connector B: 4 × LC duplex (UPC polish)
• Mode: Full duplex
• Core diameter: 125 µm
• Cable length: 7.5 m

How to use

Inspect connectors before installation to ensure they are clean and free of dust. Route the cable through cable management paths and avoid sharp bends that exceed the recommended minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. Plug the MPO connector into an MPO trunk or module and connect each LC duplex connector to the corresponding LC ports on switches, servers or storage devices according to channel mapping. Verify link status and perform optical power or continuity tests as required by your installation procedures.

Recommendations

Use fibre-cleaning tools and dust caps to protect connectors during handling. For optimal performance in OM4 multimode links, maintain proper patching order and follow vendor guidance on MPO-to-LC breakout mapping to ensure correct lane assignment in parallel or aggregated InfiniBand deployments.
