Lähetin-vastaanotin CBO SFP-10G-ER kuitu 10G 40km

The Transceiver CBO SFP-10G-ER Fiber Optic 10G 40km by BlueOptics is a single-mode SFP+ module that supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over long distances. Engineered for use in core, aggregation and metro network environments, this fiber optic transceiver provides reliable high-speed connectivity for switches, routers and optical equipment. The module is designed to fit standard SFP+ slots and to deliver an approximate reach of 40 km over single-mode fiber, enabling extended point-to-point links and backbone connections.

Advantages

This transceiver offers long-reach capability while maintaining compatibility with common SFP+ ports, enabling network designers to extend 10 GbE links without replacing existing switching hardware. The use of single-mode fiber provides low attenuation for long-distance runs and stable optical performance. Compact SFP+ form factor reduces space requirements in dense rack deployments and simplifies inventory management compared to larger transceiver types.

Suitable for

• Extending 10 Gigabit Ethernet links between switches up to 40 km
• Interconnecting core and aggregation layers in campus or metro networks
• Linking routers, optical multiplexers or DWDM equipment over single-mode fiber
• Backbone or long-haul connections in enterprise and service provider networks

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ form factor for 10 GbE
• Optical type: single-mode fiber
• Reach: up to approximately 40 km over single-mode fiber
• Wavelength: long-reach optical band (typical for ER-class modules)
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit Ethernet

How to use

Install the module into an available SFP+ port on a compatible switch, router or transceiver bay while the host device is powered according to manufacturer recommendations. Use appropriate single-mode fiber patch cords and connectors, ensure correct polarity and verify link status through the host device interface. Configure link settings on connected devices as needed for 10 GbE operation and monitor optical parameters and alarms from the network equipment. Follow proper electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions when handling the transceiver and keep dust caps in place until cables are connected.

Recommendations

For reliable long-distance links, use certified single-mode fiber with low attenuation and perform end-to-end optical power and loss measurements. Confirm compatibility with the host hardware and firmware, and maintain firmware and configuration best practices for 10 GbE networks.
