BlueOptics SFP3333EU5MK InfiniBand-kuitukaapeli 5 m ST aqua

The BlueOptics SFP3333EU5MK InfiniBand fibre optic cable 5 m ST Aqua is a multimode OM3 cable designed for high-speed data transmission in short to medium distance networking environments. With a 125 µm core diameter and ST connectors, this 5-metre cable supports reliable optical links for InfiniBand systems and other high-performance network equipment that use ST terminations and OM3 fibre.

Advantages

This OM3 fibre cable provides low attenuation and consistent signal integrity for high-bandwidth applications. The 5 m length balances flexibility and reach for rack-to-rack connections or equipment-to-switch links in data centres and server rooms. ST Aqua connectors offer secure mechanical coupling with common transceivers and adapters used in InfiniBand and legacy optical setups. The cable construction is suited for standard indoor installations where multimode OM3 performance is required.

How to use

Inspect both ST connectors and device ports for cleanliness before installation. Align the ST connector’s bayonet-style end with the device receptacle and insert, then twist to lock the connector in place. Route the cable avoiding tight bends and stress points; maintain recommended bend radius for multimode fibre to preserve optical performance. When disconnecting, twist to release and pull straight out without bending the fibre excessively. Regularly inspect and clean connector end-faces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools to maintain signal quality.

Recommendations

Use this OM3 ST cable for indoor data centre and server-room environments where 5 m reach is sufficient. Avoid outdoor exposure, direct sunlight, and environments with excessive humidity or mechanical strain. For highest performance, pair with compatible InfiniBand transceivers and maintain clean connectors and proper bend radii.
