CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q2M 2M aktiivinen optinen kaapeli, 2 m, SFP28

The CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q2M 2M active optical cable is a 2‑metre SFP28-compatible twin‑connector link engineered for 25GbE short‑reach connections. It provides a single, compact plug‑and‑play connection between switches, servers and NICs without the need for separate transceivers or patch cords. The cable is intended for data centre and enterprise networking environments where reliable, low‑latency transmission and space savings are required.

Advantages

This active optical cable integrates transceiver electronics and a fiber optical link into a lightweight, factory‑assembled assembly that reduces installation time and physical port density compared with separate SFP28 transceivers plus patch cables. The AOC delivers low latency and consistent signal integrity across the 2 m length, supports hot‑plug operation and requires no additional optical alignment or field termination. Its compact twin‑connector design simplifies cable management in dense racks and switch deployments.

Suitable for

• Short‑reach 25GbE connections between top‑of‑rack switches and servers
• Interconnects between network interface cards (NICs) and switches in data centres
• High‑density rack environments where space and cable management are critical
• Low‑latency links for storage, virtualization and high‑performance computing nodes

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 twin connector
• Length: 2 metres
• Data rate: designed for 25 Gigabit Ethernet operation
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC) with integrated transceiver electronics
• Form factor: hot‑pluggable SFP28 modules at both ends
• Intended use: short‑reach interconnects within racks and between adjacent equipment

How to use

Insert each SFP28 end into the corresponding SFP28 ports on your network devices until the module clicks into place. Ensure both devices are powered and support 25GbE SFP28 AOC operation. No field termination or additional transceivers are required. After insertion, verify link status and negotiated speed in the device management interface and monitor for correct operation. To remove, depress the release latch and pull the module out evenly.

Recommendations

Install and route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer and keep the transceiver ports free of dust. Use this 2 m AOC for short, high‑density connections inside racks or between adjacent racks rather than for long‑haul links. Verify compatibility with your switch and NIC vendor compatibility lists before deployment.
