The de Buyer 4706.24 tart mould is a thick-steel, fluted round tin with a straight edge and a removable bottom, designed for baking tarts, tart bases, pies and quiches with a diameter of 24 cm. Made of iron-steel, the mould heats quickly to high temperatures for better caramelisation and ensures even heat diffusion for uniform cooking. It features a PFOA-free PTFE non-stick coating that facilitates release, protects the steel from oxidation and makes cleaning easier. The mould is suitable for conventional oven use up to 220 °C and must not be used in a microwave.

How to use

Lightly grease the mould before placing pastry or filling to improve release even with the non-stick coating. Assemble the removable bottom and place the tart in a preheated conventional oven up to a maximum of 220 °C. Avoid using metal utensils or tools inside the mould to prevent coating damage. After baking, allow the tart to cool slightly before releasing the removable bottom to unmould the tart cleanly.

Recommendations

Wash the mould by hand using a non-abrasive sponge and mild detergent; do not use a dishwasher. Do not use metal utensils or place the mould in a microwave oven. Observe the 220 °C maximum temperature to preserve the non-stick coating and material integrity.
