DELOCK PCI Express 3.0 x4 – M.2 Key M adapteri, 10 cm kaapeli, malli 64357

DELOCK PCI Express 3.0 x4 to M.2 Key M adapter, model 64357, provides a compact solution to connect an M.2 Key M NVMe SSD to a desktop PC or workstation via a PCIe slot. The adapter uses up to four PCIe 3.0 lanes to deliver the bandwidth required for modern NVMe drives and includes a 10 cm connecting cable to allow flexible placement of the M.2 module inside the chassis.

Advantages

The adapter supports PCIe 3.0 x4 operation, enabling high-speed data transfer for NVMe SSDs and improved storage performance compared with legacy interfaces. The integrated 10 cm cable offers installation flexibility in cramped cases or workstations where direct M.2 sockets are not available. The compact design keeps the SSD accessible and serviceable while minimizing occupied space on the motherboard.

Suitable for

• Upgrading a desktop PC or workstation with an NVMe M.2 Key M SSD when no M.2 slot is present
• Adding high-speed storage to systems with limited motherboard connectivity
• Benchmarking or testing M.2 NVMe SSDs on a PCIe-enabled system

Key specifications

• Interface: PCI Express 3.0, up to x4 lanes
• Target module: M.2 Key M NVMe SSD (Socket 3)
• Connection cable length: 10 cm
• Form factor: adapter card for PCIe slot with external M.2 connector via cable
• Supported storage protocol: NVMe (PCIe-based)

How to use

Install the adapter into a free PCIe slot on the motherboard that supports at least x4 lanes and secure it in the chassis. Mount the M.2 Key M SSD onto the adapter's M.2 connector according to the SSD's mounting position and secure with the appropriate screw or standoff. Route the included 10 cm cable to a convenient position inside the case so the drive has adequate airflow and is protected from contact with other components. After physical installation, power on the system and verify that the BIOS/UEFI recognizes the NVMe SSD; install drivers or initialize the drive in the operating system if required.

Recommendations

Use a PCIe slot that provides the full number of lanes for optimal performance, ensure proper cooling for sustained workloads, and confirm motherboard/BIOS compatibility with NVMe boot or storage configurations before relying on the drive for system boot.
