DIGITUS kuitu-patchkaapeli - Armored SM - Simplex - SCA - SCA G657 - A02 - 20m

The Digitus fiber optic steel-armored patch cable SC/APC to SC/APC, 20 m, G.657.A2 is designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in demanding environments. With a 9 µm core diameter and SC/APC connectors, this 20 m armored patch cord combines mechanical protection and flexibility to suit both indoor and outdoor FTTH, industrial and enterprise installations.

Advantages

The steel-armored construction provides improved mechanical strength and protection against crushing, bending and rodent damage while maintaining relatively low weight and flexibility. The cable supports low signal loss and reliable transmission over single-mode G.657.A2 fiber, making it suitable for high-performance networks that require both durability and signal integrity.

Suitable for

• FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) installations
• Industrial automation environments
• Enterprise network backbones and patching
• Indoor and outdoor cabling in harsh or constrained spaces

How to use

Route the armored patch cable along the desired path avoiding sharp edges and excessive torsion. Insert the SC/APC connectors fully into corresponding SC/APC ports until secure; ensure connector end-faces are clean before connection to minimize signal loss. Support the cable to prevent sustained bending below the specified bend radius for G.657.A2 fiber and secure it with appropriate clamps or ties when used in permanent installations.

Recommendations

Use the steel-armored patch cable where additional mechanical protection is required, for example in outdoor ducts, industrial corridors or areas prone to rodent activity. Clean connectors with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before each connection and avoid repeated tight bends to preserve performance.
