It is black and intended for use with monitors, graphics cards, TV-tuner cards and other compatible equipment.

Advantages

This 10 m ROLINE cable provides a reliable connection between DVI and HDMI interfaces without requiring converters. It supports standard, enhanced and high-definition video formats and carries multi-channel digital audio when the source and sink support it. The cable’s construction ensures sufficient bandwidth for current HDTV standards and allows for straightforward installation in desktop or AV setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting a computer or graphics card with a DVI output to an HDMI monitor or TV

How to use

Plug the DVI end into the DVI output of your source device (for example a computer graphics card or TFT monitor output) and the HDMI end into the HDMI input of the target device (for example a monitor, TV or TV-tuner card). Ensure both devices are powered off when connecting or disconnecting to avoid potential signal issues. After connecting, power on the devices and select the appropriate input on the display device.

Recommendations

Use this cable for transmitting digital video signals between DVI and HDMI ports where audio passthrough is required only if both connected devices support audio over the respective interfaces; otherwise carry audio via a separate connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and keep the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference.
