kuituoptinen InfiniBand-kaapeli ShiverPeaks BS07-530215 1 m

The ShiverPeaks BS07-530215 1 m fibre optic cable is an OM5 multimode link designed for InfiniBand networks. It has LC and SC connectors and a 50 µm core diameter, supporting full duplex transmission for high-speed data transfer and reliable connectivity. The cable is intended for short-range, high-bandwidth applications in data centres and network racks where low loss and consistent signal integrity are required.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable provides enhanced bandwidth and modal performance compared with earlier multimode types, enabling higher-speed InfiniBand links over short distances. The use of LC and SC connectors ensures compatibility with a wide range of networking equipment. With a 1 m length and a 50 µm core diameter, the cable delivers consistent full duplex communication and low attenuation, making it suitable for dense cabling environments and equipment interconnects.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand host channel adapter to switch or switch-to-switch connections in racks
• Short-reach high-speed links in data centres and server rooms
• Patch panel and equipment-to-equipment interconnects requiring LC and SC terminations

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connectors: LC to SC
• Length: 1 m
• Transmission mode: full duplex

How to use

Ensure both network ports and patch panels are powered down or set to a safe state before making connections. Align the LC and SC connectors with the corresponding ports and gently insert until the connector latch engages. Verify that the cable routing avoids sharp bends and mechanical strain and secure the cable with appropriate ties or organisers. After connection, power up the devices and confirm link status and expected data rates through monitoring tools or device indicators.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment and avoid excessive bending; respect the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. Use this 1 m OM5 cable for short-reach, high-bandwidth InfiniBand links and prefer patched, labeled routing in high-density racks to maintain traceability and reduce accidental disconnections.
