Kuitukaapeli Alcasa 10 m SC/SC

The Alcasa 10m SC/SC fibre optic cable from Good Connections is a 10-metre duplex patch cable designed for high-performance network links. It uses OM4 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter and SC connectors on both ends, providing reliable, low-loss connections for short- to medium-range data transmission. The cable is suitable for structured cabling in data centres, server rooms and networking racks where consistent bandwidth and low latency are required.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable supports full duplex communication and is engineered for higher modal bandwidth compared with earlier multimode types, enabling increased data throughput and longer reach for 10 Gigabit and higher multimode applications. The SC/SC terminations provide simple, push-pull insertion and a stable physical connection. The 10 m length offers installation flexibility without additional couplers, and the multimode design eases alignment in active equipment ports.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, transceivers and patch panels in data centres
• Server room backbone links and rack-to-rack connections
• Short- to medium-distance multimode network segments up to OM4 performance limits

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 10 m
• Configuration: Duplex (full duplex)
• Connector type: SC connector on both ends (SC/SC)
• Typical applications: 10 GbE and higher multimode links, MPO/patching environments where SC terminations are used

How to use

Route the Alcasa 10m SC/SC fibre cable along the planned cable path, avoiding tight bends and sharp edges that can damage the fibre. Insert the SC connectors into the corresponding ports on devices or patch panels until they click into place. Use dust caps or clean connectors before making connections to minimise insertion loss. For removal, depress the SC latch and pull straight out to avoid stressing the fibre or connector.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector body and the cable jacket; maintain minimum bend radius as specified for OM4 multimode fibres and keep connectors covered when not in use. For professional installations, verify link performance with appropriate optical testing equipment after installation and use fibre cleaning tools to ensure optimal signal quality.
