HDMI-kaapeli ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 5 m

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 5m HDMI cable is a 5-metre black cable with HDMI Type A male connectors on both ends. It supports a data transfer rate of up to 8.16 Gbit/s and features gold-plated contacts to improve signal conductivity and reduce corrosion. The cable is built to a flat design compliant with BS77475-Flat standards, making it suitable for installations where space-saving routing and discreet cable runs are required.

Advantages

The flat construction reduces cable bulk and improves flexibility for routing under carpets or along skirting boards while maintaining consistent signal quality. Gold-plated contacts provide reliable electrical contact and help guard against oxidation. With a 5 m length, the cable offers extended reach for separating source devices and displays without additional adapters or extenders. Support for 8.16 Gbit/s ensures compatibility with a wide range of consumer video and audio equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting TVs to set-top boxes, media players or streaming devices
• Linking gaming consoles to monitors or televisions
• Connecting laptops or desktop PCs to external displays or projectors
• Routing behind furniture, under carpets, or along walls where a low-profile cable is needed

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• Connector type: HDMI Type A male to HDMI Type A male
• Maximum data transfer rate: 8.16 Gbit/s
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: black
• Design: flat cable format compliant with BS77475-Flat

How to use

Connect one HDMI Type A male end to the HDMI output of the source device (for example a Blu-ray player, console, or PC) and the other male end to the HDMI input of the display (TV, monitor or projector). Ensure both devices are powered off when plugging in to avoid hot-plug issues; after the connections are secure, power on the devices and select the corresponding HDMI input on the display. Adjust display settings on the source device if necessary to match resolution and audio output preferences.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid sharp bends or repeated folding of the flat cable near the connectors. Route the cable along smooth surfaces and secure it with non-invasive clips or adhesive cable organizers if needed. If long-distance signal integrity is required beyond 5 m, consider using an active HDMI solution or a signal extender compatible with the device resolutions in use.
