Hiomalevy Metabo 624992000

The Metabo 624992000 sanding pad is a replacement accessory compatible with Metabo sanders. Designed to deliver a consistent sanding surface, this single pad provides reliable contact between abrasive discs and the workpiece to help achieve an even finish on wood, metal, and painted surfaces. The product focuses on durability and straightforward installation, making it suitable for repeated use in workshop or on-site environments.

Advantages

The sanding pad is manufactured to provide stable backing for abrasives, reducing vibration and improving control during sanding operations. Its construction prioritizes wear resistance and simple attachment to Metabo sanding tools, so users can change pads quickly and maintain productivity. The design supports uniform pressure distribution across the sanding surface, which helps minimize uneven spots and accelerates surface preparation tasks.

Suitable for

• Sanding and surface preparation of wood, MDF and plywood
• Removing paint, varnish or rust from metal surfaces
• Pre-finishing and smoothing before painting or lacquering
• General DIY and professional sanding tasks with compatible Metabo sanders

Key specifications

• Compatibility: designed for use with Metabo orbital and multi-sanders that accept this pad shape and fastening method
• Quantity: single pad per pack
• Material: resilient backing suitable for use with hook-and-loop or similar abrasive attachment systems
• Function: provides a flat, stable backing for achieving an even sanding result

How to use

Before fitting the sanding pad, ensure the sander is disconnected from its power source. Align the pad with the tool’s mounting plate and press or secure according to the sander’s attachment method. Fit the appropriate abrasive disc to the pad, verify firm engagement, and reconnect power. Begin sanding using steady, even strokes and moderate pressure; avoid excessive force to prevent premature wear of the abrasive or backing pad. Replace the pad when it shows significant wear or damage that affects sanding performance.

Recommendations

Use compatible abrasive discs and follow the sander manufacturer’s guidance on rotational speed and pressure. Inspect the pad regularly for wear or deformation and replace it to maintain consistent surface finish quality. Store the pad in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and chemicals to preserve its material properties.
