Pistosaha Metabo STE 100 Quick

The Metabo STE 100 Quick is a corded top-handle jigsaw designed for precise straight and curved cuts in wood and other construction materials. Equipped with a 710 W motor and a maximum idle stroke rate of 3,100 spm, this compact 2 kg tool delivers controlled cutting performance with a maximum wood cutting depth of 100 mm. The tool’s Quick blade-change system and top handle layout support comfortable one-handed guiding and fast blade replacement for uninterrupted workflow.

Advantages

The high-speed 710 W motor combined with an effective output of 470 W provides steady cutting power and stable speed under load. Weighing just 2 kg, the STE 100 Quick is easy to maneuver during overhead or vertical work. The top-handle design improves visibility of the cutting line and handling control. Quick-change blade system reduces downtime when switching blades, while adjustable stroke settings allow adaptation to different materials and cutting profiles.

Suitable for

• Straight and curved cuts in soft and hardwood
• Cutting sheet materials such as plywood, MDF and thin plastic
• On-site carpentry and renovation work requiring a portable corded jigsaw
• Installation tasks where precise line visibility and one-handed control are important

Key specifications

• Motor power: 710 W (max), effective power output 470 W
• Maximum idle stroke rate: 3,100 strokes per minute
• Maximum cutting depth in wood: 100 mm
• Weight: approximately 2.0 kg
• Handle type: top-handle for one-handed operation and improved line visibility
• Power supply: mains (AC corded)

How to use

Secure the workpiece and mark the cutting line clearly before starting. Select an appropriate blade for the material and insert it using the Quick system following the tool’s instructions, ensuring the blade is locked. Connect the jigsaw to a suitable AC power source, set the stroke rate according to material thickness and desired cut quality, and allow the motor to reach full speed before engaging the cut. Guide the tool steadily along the marked line without forcing it; let the blade and motor maintain the cutting pace. After cutting, switch off and unplug the tool before removing the blade or performing maintenance.

Recommendations

Use blades matched to the material and desired finish (coarse for fast ripping, fine-tooth for clean curves). Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye and hearing protection, and secure workpieces with clamps. For prolonged accuracy, maintain a consistent feed rate and avoid excessive lateral pressure on the blade. Regularly inspect the power cord and blade holder for wear and replace consumables as needed.
