InLine kuituoptinen duplex-kaapeli SC/SC 50/125µm OM5 15 m

The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable SC/SC 50/125µm OM5 15m is a multimode duplex fiber patch cable designed for high-bandwidth network links. It uses a 50/125 µm core/cladding structure with OM5 graded-index multimode fiber and SC duplex connectors on both ends to support full-duplex data transmission. The cable's OM5 specification enables transmission across a broader range of wavelengths, improving performance for modern data center and enterprise networking applications over moderate distances.

Advantages

This OM5 duplex cable offers stable multimode performance with low attenuation and consistent modal bandwidth suitable for short- to mid-range links. The SC/SC connectors provide reliable mechanical coupling and ease of insertion into common multimode ports. With a 15 m length, the cable is long enough for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment connections while remaining manageable for cable routing and strain relief.

Suitable for

• Data center interconnects and patch panels
• High-speed LAN, SAN and server connections
• Multimode trunking and fiber backbone segments
• Short- to medium-distance optical links in enterprise networks

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM5 multimode fiber (graded-index)
• Core / cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Connector type: SC duplex on both ends
• Length: 15 m
• Polish: typically UPC/PC (multimode friendly)
• Mode: duplex (two fibers for full-duplex transmission)
• Typical applications: multimode wavelength ranges for enhanced bandwidth
• Cable jacket: flexible multimode patch cable construction

How to use

Route the cable between two SC-compatible multimode ports ensuring minimal bending and avoiding sharp kinks. Remove protective caps from the SC connectors before insertion and align the keyed connector with the port to engage the latch mechanism. Use appropriate cable management and strain relief to prevent stress at connector ends. For best optical performance, keep connectors clean by using fiber cleaning tools or dry wipes prior to mating and store unused ends with dust caps when disconnected.

Recommendations

Use the OM5 duplex cable for short- to medium-range multimode connections where support for multiple wavelengths and higher modal bandwidth is required. Avoid tight bends (use bend-radius guidelines provided by the manufacturer), protect connectors from dust and contamination, and verify link performance with an appropriate multimode tester after installation.
