Irix 15mm f/2.4 Firefly ultralaajakulma kiinteä polttoväli Nikon F

Ultra-wide perspectives with a bright f/2.4 aperture—the Irix 15mm Firefly is a manual focus prime that opens up dramatic compositions on full-frame Nikon DSLRs. Unlike heavier metal-barrel alternatives, this Firefly edition uses a lightweight composite body, making it a practical choice for travel, landscape, and architecture photographers who still demand high optical performance. The 110° diagonal angle of view captures expansive scenes with minimal distortion, while the fast aperture enables handheld shooting in challenging light and creative shallow depth-of-field effects.

In daily use

On location, the Firefly's manual focus ring offers a smooth, well-damped feel, and the focus lock lets you fix the distance for repeatable shots. The infinity click provides a tactile stop at the hyperfocal point, speeding up landscape setups. The bright f/2.4 aperture not only helps in dim conditions but also allows you to isolate subjects with a shallow depth of field—unusual for such a wide lens. The 0.28 m minimum focus distance lets you get close for exaggerated foregrounds, adding depth to your compositions. The weather sealing gives confidence when shooting in light rain or dusty environments, and the rear gel filter slot is a bonus for creative effects without bulky front filters.
