Kuitu-kaapeli S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77955 5 m LC SC oranssi

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 77955 is a 5 m OM2 multimode fibre optic patch cable with LC and SC terminations in an orange jacket. Designed for full-duplex data transmission, this 50 µm core cable supports high-speed connections between network equipment such as switches, transceivers and patch panels. The orange colour provides quick visual identification for multimode OM2 links in data centres and structured cabling installations.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable combines LC and SC connector types to offer compatibility with a wide range of equipment. The OM2 multimode construction with a 50 µm core enables reliable short- to medium-range optical transmission and is suitable for common enterprise networking standards. The 5 metre length balances reach and cable management needs while the bright orange jacket simplifies route tracing and port identification.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and transceivers in data centre racks
• Interlinking patch panels and active equipment in network closets
• Short- to medium-range multimode optical links in enterprise LANs
• Environments where quick visual identification of OM2 cables is required

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM2
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 5 m
• Connector A: LC (single/duplex)
• Connector B: SC
• Mode: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Orange

How to use

Route the cable between the LC and SC ports of the respective devices, ensuring connectors are clean before insertion to maintain optimal optical performance. Insert the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC adapter or transceiver until they click into place. Avoid tight bends and secure the cable along its run to prevent strain on the fibre. If necessary, label both ends for easier identification in rack or patch panel environments.

Recommendations

Inspect connector endfaces with a fibre inspection tool and clean with approved wipes or cleaners prior to use. Maintain minimum bend radius as specified for multimode fibre to avoid increased attenuation and preserve signal quality. Use this OM2 cable for multimode short- to medium-distance links and ensure compatibility of transceivers and ports when mixing connector types.
