Kuitukaapeli DeLOCK 84640 1 m LC violetti

The DeLOCK 84640 is a 1 m OM4 fibre optic cable with LC connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed data transmission, it has a 50 µm core diameter and violet colour coding for easy identification and organisation. The cable is intended for connecting networking devices such as a NIC with an SFP module to a switch or a media converter.

Advantages

The OM4 multimode design supports higher bandwidth and longer reach compared to earlier multimode types. LC connectors on both ends provide a compact duplex connection suitable for dense installations. The violet jacket enables quick visual tracing and cable management in racks and patch panels.

Suitable for

• Data centres and server rooms
• High-performance computing links
• Connecting NICs with SFP modules to switches
• Media converter connections

How to use

Ensure both devices support OM4 multimode fibre and LC connectors. Remove protective dust caps from the LC connectors and insert each connector into the corresponding LC port until it clicks. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and secure it with appropriate cable management. For removal, press the latch on the LC connector and gently pull it out.

Recommendations

Inspect connector end-faces before connection and use fibre cleaning tools if needed. Avoid bending the cable below the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and keep connectors capped when not in use to maintain performance.
